Congress Tours

There are pre- and post-congress tours, mid-congress excursions, and an accompanying persons programme available.

Pre-and post-congress tours will be organized to various natural and cultural sites in northern, eastern and central Europe ranging from 3 to 7 days.

Mid-congress excursions on Thursday, 17 August 2006 will be organized to various destinations around Hamburg. Furher details can be found here

Early morning birding trips will be organized during the congress.

ZEISS Sport Optics and NABU (BirdLife Germany; Hamburg Office) are offering daily tours to the Carl Zeiss Bird Observation Station located in a marshland (Wedeler Marsh) north of Hamburg from Monday, 14^th – Friday, 18^th, except on Thursday. Departure is at 14:15 from the CCH, return is 18-18:30. Interested participants must register at the ZEISS stand in the exhibition hall.

Accompanying Persons Programme

Hamburg and its surroundings offer a wide range of events and trips for accompanying persons.
The accompanying persons programme will include guided tours to the City of Hamburg, the City of Berlin, and the City of Lübeck.
